There's been more than enough that's been said on Xorn, but it's another misstep in this beloved series. Her death was anticlimactic, considering she literally died a couple issues prior when Wolverine stabbed her. The new take wasn't that different and seemed almost like an afterthought. The Phoenix storyline resulting in a dead Jean once again. Again, a product of its time that has not aged well, seeing as we have come back to the colorful costumes that the X-Men are known for.

I am a big fan of Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon (one of, if not, THE best modern X-Men story to date), so I figured I'd read the story the preceded it, New X-Men, since it is so highly regarded.
